Aqua Oasis Initiative

Founded in 2010 by Dr. Aris Thorne, a renowned hydrologist specializing in arid land management, the Aqua Oasis Initiative has grown from a small research project into a leading non-profit organization. Our mission is threefold: to conduct cutting-edge research on water resources in deserts, to educate the public about the importance of water conservation, and to implement practical solutions for sustainable water use in arid communities.

We operate out of a state-of-the-art research facility on the outskirts of Phoenix, allowing us to closely monitor and study the unique water challenges of the Sonoran Desert.
